Mid-nor Master of Puppets

I was really hesitant to start this mini. There was a lot of patchwork and too many canopic dolls on the back that you can easily go ape s--t and paint it as if a rainbow took a piss on it. So I decided to try to paint it in a muted monochromatic brown palette to offset the collage of colors I know I will have to paint on the back. When I started painting Mid-nor I knew that I wanted the canopic dolls to be in chalky pastel colors (very similar to Sakura cray-pas of my youth) and look like there's dirt under the skin (cloth), not quite there yet I think. I put two coats of Testor's Dull Coat on this mini and the highlights I work hard to get disappeared :( (need to learn how to coat minis better hehe). Comments appreciated. Specifically what I can do to improve. Thanks!
