Thank you for your suggestions Green Stuff. Actually they're not mould lines on the base, it's really the texture of the rock base, but I can see where it would look like mould lines. She was probably my 6th figure I've painted since starting to paint so I know there was definite room for improvement, in particular the color scheme of her clothing. I was trying many different techniques at the time for eyes because they gave me such difficulty. However, now I've been trying Jennifer Haley's technique she demonstrated using the Micron Pens and that has been working better. Thank you again for your feedback.
The composition between the figure and the base is interesting but a number of things need to be worked on in my humble opinion. First of all, I can make out some mould lines on the cross's base. Second of all, the choice of the colors need to be redone : greyish green, greyish brown, and grey don't help to make the character readable. Contrast, be it in tone or hue, is very important. Finally, the white of the eyes seem too big and the blue too small. All of this is a shame because you seem to have brush control and you thin your paints. I hope my comments won't seem too harsh and will help you improve. Good luck.
