Again with dischorded purple later in purple browns to create the already highlighted model from the fact you stated light on the base coat!!! Most painters did and used to get a somewhat dark base coat shade dark and then work lighter from there!! The better alternative is to work reverse where you control the shades by juicing(very thin coats laid over and over to deepen shadows ) then glaze a verge diluted blue at the end of them I

Overall nice job - skin tones look smooth, but the shadows are making it hard to tell.
