Beautiful work. The colors are vibrant and overall scheme is excellent. The paintjob is top notch! I agree with Darthfoley about the "setting" but then my bases are usually stylized and don't make much sense either.

The cloak is awesome. I like the gold banding very much. Overall a great paint job. I think it is easy for others to examine a miniature and through the best possible intentions pass a comment, positive or negative. In this case some have chosen to comment on the base,/his position upon the plinth/ the GW style etc. I say to hell with that, you have painted a superb miniature really well. I know it's good cause now I'm thinking to paint my own one, whereas before I saw this it was far from my mind.
