N'gam: Chaos Lieutenant on Daemon Bike
First off: this is a mini from my big CSM (Undivided) WH40K army. Therefore it is a Rank and File mini - it is not perfect: It's built and painted to win games, not Golden Daemon Statues. I have fun painting this army - and there's more where this came from. But I do think N'gam is cool. So that's why he's here... The model is based on a dream - a vision - I had whilst trying to workout a good way to get my commander into battle. I dreamt of a living breathing machine. Constructed of muscle and sinew fused with metal. I woke and drew a quick sketch. Checking the model I wanted to use as my commander (Conversion from Blood Angels Mephiston) I saw that he would not work too well with a bike. So I created a Leiutenant, named after a character from Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers - N'Gam. I started out with a standard Space Marine bike and stripped it down - removing the rear mudguard and the front forks and wheel assembly. Next I took the back wheels from my old Gorkamorka Nob's Wartrukk and stuck one out in front of the bike with a cocktail stick connection the two. The I sculpted new front forks from Milliput. Ove the course of the day I added more sections of daemonic milliput. Fist adding a sausage then textturing it with a cocktail stick. When it was firmer I added further detail with my knife. The I added the spikes of two chaos spikey sprues. Some I had to drill. Most were just pushed in. One quick wet-blended acrylic (It is possible!) paint-job later and he's ready to lead my army. One comment I get is that the gold is a bit flat. That it is. But so is the gold in the rest of my army, and this guy leads from among his troops. The helmet is only blu-tacd on. One day I will add a bare head. I'm just looking for the right one. Any sugestions please post od message me. For the time being he remains hidden. Encased in his ancient armour speeding forth along side a solid wave of Rhino APCs bringing me closer to actually winning a game that I've ever been before... As always - comments much appreciated...>>> Burzmali
