I agree, the figure looks dirty and the quality of the photo (scan?) is not helping you out either. You are getting a +1 for the face detail though. :)
Thought I should post a comment since nobody else has.
I would suggest that the whole miniature looks a bit dirty, I realise this may be the intention, but the colours need to be crisper and the highlights more pronounced.
