Dark Eldar vs Tau diorama

A diorama I did for a local store competition. I haven't done many dioramas in the past, and looking back at this one, I'd probably do it a bit tighter if I did it again, or fill in the excess space a bit better. However, I really felt compelled to do this diorama, since the image of Dark Eldar warriors teleporting onto the battlefield through a warp portal was too much to resist. The portal itself is a slice of polished agate, and the warrior was cut and glued to it half in, half out. The writing on the Tau translates into "Ronin", which I thought would be fitting, since this guy works on his own. The whole thing is a bit rough, but I had so much fun doing this, despite it's shortcomings.

I'm in love with this diorama. The terrain is varied and "natural". The "warpgate", even though easy to see its an agate, is fantasticly well suited with the eldar comming through it. The positioning of the minis and the painting is top dollar! Only suggestion I have is a bit of "blue" comming out of the tau puls rifle and a bit of "red" comming out of the dark eldar stomac :D

I love this. You did the flames perfectly on the tau. This is my favorite model on the website

Excellent. I'm biased as a Tau player ;) but this is a fantastic diorama anyway. I love the agate portal, it conveys the portal idea far better than a handpainted one could. I wish I had a subcription so I could favourite this. Fantastic.
