Apprentice Wizard

While looking for a birthday present for a very good friend I came across this sculpt by Werner Klocke. Knowing she is a Harry Potter fan to the core (she is more excited about the next HP movie than about The Two Towers *shakes head* ;-) ) I decided to try my hand at this miniature. To make it more of a display piece I placed the miniature inside a old, clear dice box (shown in the lower right picture). Overall I am very pleased with the result. Even though the pose is a bit ... strange and Harry looks somewhat timid I had a lot of fun painting the miniatures. Now I just hope she likes my present :-) About the picture: I know the lighting is not perfect but I am still working on the best setup. And I am still trying to get to know all options on my new digicam ;-)
