Tau Bluefish (Hammerhead Varient)

This was the first model I attempted after my 6 or 7 year "rest" from modelling... I think it came out well, the conversion includes an underslung Ion cannon and some Forge World Tau Upgrades... all the doors have been hinged and there is a detailed interior, not as much as I would like to have done but it was my first attempt... the colour is moody blue if the picture does not give the mini justice... any comments would be great....

rules wise this is one MEAN machine, I really like the conversion work on it and the color is very Tau, I haven't weathered my Tau tanks myself either, basically because the "fresh from the factory" seems like the Tau way of doing things, but the engines could do with a little "wear and tear" imho :)

This is nice and clean, but there's more you could do to suspend the "toy" look: Blackline those seams between body panels, more shading all around, and maybe some more little details like insignias or writing. Dirt and rust can be helpful, but are a question of style, and aren't very Tau-like.

The color looks very nice, kind of a cloudy color - maybe for sneaking out of cloud cover to attack.
