I'd have to say the 'over-varnishing' works for this guy. It gives him that slimy wet clay look. Excellent, especially for gaming.

Well, yes that's true. I also over-varnished it, since it's purpose was to appear on table top sessions (thus increased danger of dice falling on it's head). Improving base is a good idea however!. Thanks for your comment !

It is quite nice, but it looks like you've used too thick colors, haven't you? Also try improving the base.
