Grey Knight

A Grey Knight I painted around 1 year ago. I decided to paint my family crest on his shield, a raven rising on a white shield surrounded by oak leaves - it symbolises strength through peace and war. Comments/criticisms?

Thanks Vincent, I think I was relyingtoo much onthe metallic paint to bring out the highlights so I suppose they are a bit flat. As for inspiration I really loved the Magmatrax mini, I don't know if you have heard of it ;). Thanks for the great comments, I'll see if I can get a good shot of the Daemonette head for you.

8.5 - The armor is a little bland, without depth, which is surprising considering the very high quality job you did with the daemonette head for instance. Perhaps hints of color on the armour would add depth. The base is nice, I think I know where you got your inspiration ;) I think cooler tones of red on the lava would have conveyed more heat through hot and hotter zones on the lava. The light reflection is good, particularily on the bottom picture. The other sides of the rock, I think the yellow light reflection is toolarge compared to the red transition, spreading the red a little more to have yellow not sop widespread would further improve the effect; just like the bottom picture! I'd like to see close-ups of the severed head, the colors are very eye-catching. Great work!
