Maybe you could try a layer of matt varnish on top of the glossy finish, to get both the protection of the glossy varnish and the matt look.

I'm not sure what to vote. By my normal standards I would probably give it a 5-6, but you said "painted as a toy" which gives me pause. It's a 15mm, and you've done it in primary colors. If you are going for a dollhouse accessory or something for a 72mm child mini to play with then I vote an 8.

I think you're right about the gloss, Lizard, but still, consider the size of this thing---15mm is pretty tiny. This is a very nice job given the tiny size of the thing.
