I would prefer to make terrain than paint miniatures so here is my version of a Stargate. It is made mostly with Hirst arts octogon tower blocks. The Event horizon is made with foamcore and spackle. This was my first attempt to do a marble effect and I used the tutorial from hotlead.com Comments welcome!

Great job on the marble effect. I just got this mold last week. I like how you used it for something other than a tower.

The angle on the pic isn't the best to see most of the marble, but it looks pretty good from what I can see. The water/gate effect looks really cool. If you made it detachable, you could use it seperately as a pool.
