Ogre Tyrant
Here is my latest mini on CMoN (and mini #4) an Ogre Tyrant. This was originally going to be part of my army but the colour scheme that I chose for my army was pretty bad and I got bored of painting Ogres after a while, so with this one still in the box I decided to paint him up for fun one day. The scheme I chose for this mini was intentionally going against the GW grey-like skin with rusty weapons (as I’m sick of seeing Ogres looking like they belong in the Undead army!) so i went for human skin tones and normally metals. The best piece of this mini is his bronze armour; I hadn't originally decided to do it that way it just happened! And I thought it looked good enough to be a major colour on the mini. The worst bit of the mini has to be his fur, i originally though that fur would be easy to do with a bit of dry brushing and a few choice colours but in the end the colours were to close to each other so there was no definition on the fur. Overall I’m pretty pleased with this mini and i think it shows progress with my painting, so I’m happy with it (sorry, him!) Comments, criticism, death threats appreciated (well, maybe not death threats :))
